2024 Summer League Pics

Phoenix Volleyball partners with the YMCA for a fun filled Summer Season of volleyball for girls AND boys from 3rd Grade through High School

Tryouts are Saturday, May 24th from 10am-12pm.  They will be held at Sequoia High School.  EVERYONE WHO TRIES OUT WILL MAKE A TEAM!  You must register as soon as possible to secure a spot, as spaces are limited.  Click here to Register for 2025 Summer League.

If Saturday is a difficult day/time for you, let us know and we will work to create a separate evaluation for your child to put him/her on the right  team. 

EVERYONE WILL MAKE A TEAM.  Just make it to tryouts on the 19th and we will find the right fit for your athlete.

It is understandable that families will miss due to summer vacations and other commitments.  We just ask that your athlete tries to be as committed to the team as possible, but enjoy your family time as well.

Teams are divided into 3 main age groups:

- 4th-6th

- 7th-9th

- High School

In addition, there are divisions created after wins and losses in the first two weeks to keep the ply competitive.  (A, B, and C levels)

• Tryouts are Saturday, May 24th from 10am-12pm at Sequoia High School.  
• Practices begin the week of June 2-6 
• Practices will be 90 minutes and run during the week
• If you have a conflict with a certain day during the week (ex: your child is participating in Festival and practices with another club, let us know and we will do our best to accommodate)
• First games will be June 15th
• No practices or games June 29th - July 5th (great vacation time)
• The week of August 4th - 8th are the playoffs and championship matches
• The week of August 11-15th will be the ALL YMCA championship and ALL STARS

Summer League costs $500 and is a one-time fee paid at tryouts.  This covers training for the entire summer!  Athletes will receive a free practice shirt, however, they must purchase an official jersey from the YMCA for $20.  More details on the specific jersey you need will be provided at tryouts.

Due to the high costs of court rental, YMCA league fees, coach salaries, etc. we can only offer one payment plan, other than paying in full at tryouts:

- May 24th - $275 due

- June 24th - $275 due

***All credit card payments are subject to a 3.5% fee.  No fee for cash, Zelle, or Venmo payments.

• Coaching from certified club coaches (not volunteers), who have played competitive volleyball and coached many years.
• Awesome Practice Shirt
• Two 90-min practices each week until games begin, then one practice and one match per week
• Training all summer long with 8 weeks of matches (one hour per week usually at a local YMCA)
• Mini tournament at the end of the season

Summer League is designed to create healthy competition amongst all athletes.  During the first two weeks, teams compete to be placed in divisions with appropriate teams that will create great game play based on that team's abilities.

Practices will be held at Sequoia High School and will primarily run on Tuesday or Thursday evenings beginning at approximately 5:30 pm.  We will do our best to create a schedule that can accommodate your needs.
