2024-2025 GIRLS TRYOUT INFORMATION U11-18

• Open Gyms are a great way for your daughter to come meet other girls interested in club volleyball and see if Phoenix Volleyball might be a good fit for her.  We strongly suggest attending as many as possible, as many girls are unable to attend due to high school volleyball restrictions

• Open Houses allow your child to showcase their skill level and be put into a  game-like environment to help us better understand their capabilities to find the right team and coaches for them.  Open Gyms are set up primarily to get touches while Open Houses are set up for athletes to show off their capabilities in an effort to grab the attention of the various coaches within Phoenix Volleyball Cub.  Those coaches will make themselves available during the last 30 minutes of each Open House to answer questions from you and/or your daughter.

• Volleyball skills including passing, setting, hitting, digging, and serving.
• Athleticism - Agility, speed, strength, coordination
• Attitude - as a person and as a teammate
• Hard work - what is her/his work ethic?.

• A parent/guardian MUST attend tryouts ) , however those parents/guardians will not be allowed in the gym during actual tryouts.  Athletes will NOT be allowed to tryout without a parent/guardian present during registration.

• If this is your child's first time playing club volleyball, you will need to bring a copy of his/her birth certificate to tryouts.
