To Whom It May Concern: 

We are Phoenix Volleyball Club, a nonprofit organization with the mission to provide athletic opportunities for youth and adults regardless of residence or economic background. Our goal each year is to help improve every athlete’s skills, knowledge, and love of the game. We also strive to teach every athlete leadership and communication skills. 

We began our program with one team of 10 athletes, and have grown to 5 teams with 60 athletes! Our goal is 8 teams this year. Many athletes cannot afford the expensive costs of club volleyball due to economic or personal reasons. Last year, nearly 40% of our athletes were on some sort of scholarship and many are now thriving in high school and two went on to receive college scholarships.

Another goal is to help these athletes build school athletic programs and help those programs become even more competitive. Athletics is such a huge part of our culture and can be a way for so many young people to build their confidence and self-esteem. For those struggling in school, it can be a safe haven and something to look forward to on a regular basis. And for a few, it provides a vehicle to get into a college and further their education. In an age when so much of our time is spent in front of electronics, we provide a way to get youth up, get active, and get interactive with people their age. Athletics provides a wealth of opportunities for many young people. 

In order to help provide this opportunity, we have set up a sponsorship program. We are asking local businesses and individuals to contribute towards this fund. 

We encourage you or your business to choose to contribute a tax-deductible donation to our general fund.  100% of all funds given will go to support these much-deserving athletes. Funds will offset costs for court rental, training fees, jerseys and other clothing items, and much more.   You will receive a tax-deductible receipt for your records. We thank our sponsors by listing them on our website and social media.
 

The average cost per athlete to compete in a travel tournament season is $2,750. Our athletes need all the support they can get. We thank businesses who donate $500 or more by listing them on our practice shirts that are worn by athletes throughout the entire competitive season. This is a great advertisement for your business.
